Introducing the El Paca Metagraph

Constellation Network

Overview

The El Paca Metagraph is an innovative, application-specific network designed to reward community activity within the Constellation Ecosystem. While not everyone can have a large “bag” of tokens, there are numerous ways for people to participate in an ecosystem’s growth. By tracking and rewarding positive behaviors, El Paca ($PACA) aims to foster community activity and engagement. This token represents an evolution of loyalty (Loyalty 4.0), motivating individuals to align with metrics that increase adoption for the Constellation ecosystem and enabling other metagraphs to target highly activated individuals. Furthermore, it is meant to highlight some of the development features of flexibility that can be integrated into a Constellation metagraph.

Most importantly, this meme utility token inspires creativity, fun, and collaboration while creating new pathways for programmatic incentives and airdrops, with the ultimate goal of aligning stakeholders within the ecosystem.

The El Paca Metagraph

Systematic Data Gathering and Minting Logic

The El Paca Metagraph employs a systematic approach to periodically gather data on network participation and implements minting logic based on this data. This structure ensures fair and transparent token distribution to deserving participants. The code for the metagraph is publicly available here. Our goal is for the community to understand how the metagraph functions, verify its operations and mechanics, and inspire other projects to replicate our model, reward the core ecosystem, create programmatic incentives for their community, and leverage the collective intelligence of the developer community to improve and innovate upon the El Paca Metagraph.

Token Value Proposition

While the PACA token’s primary utility is to reward community engagement, we aim to explore using it as a tool to bridge other ecosystems, give people access to events and products, and be subjected to airdrops for future tokens, new metagraph projects, DEX governance, and node operator access. Although these mechanisms are not currently in place, we aim to explore how people use the token and how it helps accelerate the adoption of the Constellation Ecosystem through a transparent and metric-driven process.

Scalability and Sustainability

The El Paca Metagraph is not an immutable contract, meaning it is flexible and capable of adding new data sources to accommodate the growing demands of the ecosystem. Our aim is to encourage other ecosystems and developers/builders to use the El Paca token to target highly active users with precision, rather than relying on general marketing messages on social media.

Furthermore, by using the El Paca token, we can target individuals with cross-chain airdrops for certain projects and opportunities. As we evaluate the token and its circulation and usage, we will explore opportunities to list the token. One of the core themes of Constellation is data integrity. By adding new data sources and having those transactions on the Hypergraph, mechanisms are in place to monitor the integrity of how individuals contribute to the ecosystem.

Data Sources

The El Paca token uses various data sources to track and reward valuable behavior. Below are the first integrations and data sources available at launch. Over time, we will add more data sources to drive more network activity:

  1. Exolix Swaps: Wallets that have swapped into DAG through Exolix.
  2. Simplex Purchases: Wallets that have purchased DAG through Simplex.
  3. IntegrationNet Node Operator Line: Users on the queue to become an Integration Net node operator.
  4. New Wallet Creation: Creating a new wallet with at least 1,500 DAG and holding it for seven days.

Adoption

Our aim is for Constellation and Stardust Collective to better understand and reward user participation, while enabling other metagraphs, developers, and layer 1 ecosystems to use this tool to engage with the Constellation Ecosystem. Furthermore, because metagraph’s are not bound to strict immutable rules like a smart contract, we are able to adopt, integrate new sources, and refine the metagraph to cater to adoption.

In the coming months, we will allow people to connect their Twitter profile and wallet to be rewarded for mentions and tags that support our ecosystem. For example:

  • Constellation can selectively airdrop to participants that provide notable activity on the network.
  • Constellation can use El Paca in reputation models to elevate reliable node operators.
  • Metagraphs can be deliberate with their marketing to activate early community members who are highly engaged.
  • El Paca can integrate X.com tags to benefit other Metagraphs and ecosystems.
  • Other ecosystems can target certain El Paca holders to promote cross-chain alliances and provide integrations that benefit multichain engagement.

Token Minting

The current token has an uncapped supply, but by making the code base and data sources public, people can see the data sources and the rewards associated with a given action. The uncapped supply allows for flexibility and scalability of our ecosystem and the incentives that might grow upon new product launches and metagraph activity. The minting process for the El Paca token, upon launch, is based on network activity. As the community grows and new data sources are integrated, additional minting criteria and rewards will be introduced to maintain dynamic and inclusive engagement:

  • All wallets: All wallets with DAG before the Metagraph launch on the mainnet received 1 token.
  • Simplex/Exolix Transactions: 35 tokens per qualifying transaction.
  • Lattice Node Operator Queue Wallets: 1 token daily while on the queue.
  • New Wallet Creation: 10 tokens per new wallet that meets the criteria.

A Versatile and Transferable Token

The El Paca token is designed to be transferable and feeless while driving interactions within the community. Although it has no defined or obvious monetary value today, it is a powerful tool that can be leveraged by any project within the Constellation ecosystem and can be subjected to airdrops in other tokens.

Through El Paca, any project can get a list of DAG addresses that are active members on the network and have engaged in various rewarded activities. To demonstrate this point, we recently airdropped .01 DAG to a DAG wallet address with PACA. By showcasing the capabilities of a metagraph, El Paca rewards participation, allows other projects to reward high achievers in the ecosystem, and highlights community activation through decentralized technology and the flexibility of metagraph development beyond traditional smart contract solutions.

Conclusion

The El Paca Metagraph is a game-changer for the Constellation Network, turning meme tokens into something truly useful and fun. By pulling in data from real world sources, both on and off chain, El Paca takes a holistic view of user participation in network activities. Its flexible, upgradable framework allows for continuous evolution which means it can continue to change to meet the community’s needs.

El Paca is more than just a token; it’s a new way to get involved and make a difference in the Constellation ecosystem. It’s all about creativity, collaboration, and active participation, making it easy for everyone to join in and benefit from the network’s growth. It also sets a great example for other metagraphs, showing how they can use similar models to engage their communities and reward positive behavior.
